Packaging for food and beverage brands

Food packaging has two customers: the person who opens it, and the market surveillance authority that may ask about it. We work on both — the print and the barrier are specified together with the documents that prove the structure is suitable for the food inside it.

What we supply for food and beverage

• Folding cartons and sleeves for dry food, bakery, confectionery, tea and coffee
• Paper cups, bowls, clamshells and takeaway containers in PE, PLA or aqueous-coated board
• High-barrier pouches for coffee, nuts, snacks, powders and granola, with valves and zippers
• Vacuum and high-barrier bags for meat, fish, cheese and sous-vide
• Roll film for flow-wrap and form-fill-seal lines
• Moulded pulp and bagasse containers for takeaway and delivery

The three questions we ask first

• What is the food — dry, fatty, acidic, moist, alcohol-containing?
• At what temperature is it filled, and at what temperature is it stored?
• How long does the food stay in contact with the packaging?

Why we ask before quoting

The answers decide the material, the migration testing required and the conditions printed on the Declaration of Conformity. A laminate approved for dry biscuits at ambient temperature is not approved for a sauce filled at 85 °C. Getting this sequence right at quotation stage is what prevents a container being rejected at the port — or a retail customer's compliance team rejecting the documentation after delivery.
